We love coffee and are normally dissapointed with an evening decaf with “bold” claims. I have been blessed with opportunitis to enjoy coffee all over the world from charcoal roasted on the coast of MyaJima, Japan, St. Helena coffee in the South Atlantic, Nicaraguan in Bluefields, Nic, Cafe Cubano in the Florida Keys, Italian espresso in the North End, Boston to our little roaster here in East Helena. This coffee will fool you into thinking it’s leaded. An excellent roast from outstanding people. No other decaf compares. Try it and you will be back for another bag…and another.

Product: Decaf Espresso
Notable Characteristic: A slight, delicious, lingering molasses aftertaste plus good mouthfeel.
Roast: Seems to be somewhere between city(Folgers) and full city(Charbucks).
Other observations:
I grind the whole decaf espresso beans at home and pull shots from a professional style home espresso machine with an E61 group head. The taste is not fully realized when prepared in a moka pot.
Over about 9 months I would try various decaf espresso beans from various roasters West of the Mississippi after my favorite Seattle roaster went out of business. I tried recommended decaf espresso’s from expert roasters that write articles on the subject. Most of the decaf espresso’s have the “bright” note. Many have a strong “Columbian” bean taste. Most decaf espresso’s don’t have much or any mouthfeel.
I tried virtually all of the Seattle area espresso’s and they pale compared to Galaxy Decaf Espresso which is simply the best if one likes a little molasses flavor, good mouthfeel without muddiness and doesn’t prefer bright notes or Columbian notes.
